Hoping to speed up her recovery, Amanda sedates Alex after her most recent mission and takes advantage of Alex's drugged condition to question her about the secrets Amanda suspects Alex is hiding. Realizing Alex is in danger, Nikita works to secure her another identity to smuggle her out of the country. However, Nikita's contact double-crosses her, leaving Nikita to face an unexpected opponent. Meanwhile, Michael becomes suspicious of Alex and asks Birkhoff to investigate her.
Michael brings Alex back to Division after she has been shot full of drugs by Vlad. Amanda decides to administer her with more drugs in order to get rid of her withdrawal symptoms but it sends her into a waking dream state of constant nightmares and hallucinations.
Amanda decides to probe and ask Alex about her past but Alex sees it as trying to escape from Division while rescuing her younger self. She also imagines Michael and Nikita making out - obviously knowing there must be a connection between the two. Amanda is listening to everything she says, she starts mumbling about Nikita, Nathan, Thom and her Papa. All the while, Alex is being hunted by her unknown enemy that she only identifies by saying "She's coming" or "It's here".
She doesn't reveal anything about Nikita but Amanda tells Percy that they should still "cancel" her. Nikita and Michael are both worried about Alex and try to make plans to rescue her from Division. Michael pulls up a phone call that Alex once made from Nikita's loft. Michael finds out some interesting information and shows up at Nikita's place with a very big gun. Alex's hallucinations finally reveal her enemy, which ends up being herself, sometime in the future after she's taken back Zetrov and become czarina.
Her future self ends up killing Nathan and the baby that Alex pictures herself having someday.
