Alex has one more task before she becomes Division's newest agent, but she expresses second thoughts to Nikita about her assignment. Nikita proposes that she assassinate the Armenian crime boss, and then they'd pretend that Alex was responsible. Alex is reluctant to have Nikita tackle everything, so she insists on being out on the field and actually finishing the mission herself. Once Alex's target is in her sights, however, things start to go wrong. The syringe Alex was supposed to inject the crime boss with is broken, and she ends up pulling her gun on her target instead. Nikita sees that the situation is deteriorating so she heads in. Meanwhile, Birkoff has discovered the comms system Nikita was using to keep in touch with Alex in the Division compound. Nikita rescues Alex but Division is close by, and during the ensuing gunfire, Michael gets shot in the leg. Alex and Nikita decide on another tactic: Alex brings in Nikita to Division, and later on they will both escape the compound. Nikita is being psychologically tortured by being forced to watch videos of herself and her fiance. She stands her ground, however, refusing to give up any information. Meanwhile, Alex attempts to free Nikita by setting off a pair of bombs near her incarceration room. She also steals a key card and a gun from one of the guards. Thom confronts her, saying that he knows she's the mole in Division. They fight and Alex shoots Thom in the stomach. As Thom dies, Alex plants the key card on his body, framing him as the mole. Alex takes credit for bringing down the mole, and Percy promotes her to full Division agent.
